The Community Challenges have now ended and we would like to congratulate all the winners over the series as well as everyone who participated in one or more of the challenges! We hope that the changes made during the challenges will continue and become part of your everyday journeys.
Cycle Challenge
Congratulations to Laura Murphy on winning the cycle challenge.
Laura recorded all her 10min+ cycle journeys over the 4-week period (a minimum of eight journeys was required). Her sons have recently started learning to ride their bicycles and cycling is fast becoming a fun family activity! Laura is pictured receiving her prize of a voucher for a bicycle as well as a helmet, lights and puncture repair kit.
Journey Logger Challenge
Congratulations to Orla Butler on winning the Journey Logger Challenge.

Orla recorded all her non-car based journeys over the 4-week period and choose to use the bus and walk as often as she could. Orla is pictured with her €150 One4All Voucher.
Pedometer Challenge
Congratulations to Eileen on winning the Pedometer Challenge
With the aid of a pedometer, Eileen recorded all of her walking over the 4-week period and managed to walk over 200,000 steps in that time; that’s over 100 miles!
The third monthly challenge has been completed and the winners have been chosen! The Travel Smart Communities challenge series have been running since July and continue to run until the end of November in the Lucan and Clondalkin area. The aim of these monthly challenges is to encourage people to try some sustainable travel options and see how they can be integrated as part of their everyday journeys.
