Travel Smart Clondalkin

Travel Smart Communities project focussed on communities in Lucan and Clondalkin (Bawnogue and Dunawley) in 2011/2012.

Please click here for a map of theDeansrath/Bawnogue Area, bus timetable and average walking and cycling distances to schools and local centres.

The aim of the programme is to encourage people living in this area to choose more sustainable travel options for local journeys to shops, school, work or for leisure trips. There are many advantages to leaving the car at home for some of your journeys such as time and money savings, health benefits, creating a more active and vibrant community and a cleaner environment.

A team of Travel Advisors will be visiting households, schools and workplaces in the Lucan and Clondalkin areas in 2012 to offer travel advice and information. The Travel Smart Team will also be hosting free events in the area and will be available to answer all of your travel queries. Please check back for information of events taking place in your area.
