Travel Smart Communities - Challenge Yourself!

The Travel Smart Communities challenge series will run between July and October 2012.  Try some sustainable travel options and see how they can be integrated as part of your everyday journeys.

CHALLENGE DATES

We will run 4 sets of MONTHLY challenges over the summer period.  The challenge dates are as follows:

  • 9th July - 5th Aug          
  • Prize draws 3rd Sept 2012!
  • 6th Aug - 2nd Sept       
  • Prize draws 28th September 2012!
  • 3rd Sept - 30th Sept    
  • Prize draws 31st October 2012!
  • 1st Oct - 28th Oct        
  • Prize draws 30st November 2012!

LOG ON HERE

Pedometer Challenge: This is a walking challenge. Log you steps over 4 weeks using a pedometer (step counter). All entries over 10,000 steps over the 4 week challenge period will be entered into a draw for a One4All voucher to the value of €150. To enter log your steps via the online survey; or post your challenge card back to Travel Smart Communities Team, County Hall, Tallaght, Dublin 24.

Cycle Challenge: This is a cycling challenge. Log your 10min+ cycle journeys over 4 weeks. All entries with 8 or more 10min+ cycles over the 4 week challenge period will be entered into a prize draw for a bicycle, helmet, lights and puncture repair kit. To enter log your cycles via the online survey; or post your challenge card back to Travel Smart Communities Team, County Hall, Tallaght, Dublin 24.

Journey Logger Challenge: This is a sustainable transport challenge. Log all the car trips you swap for more sustainable modes over 4 weeks. All entries with 8 or more non-car journeys over the 4 week challenge period will be entered into a draw for a One4All voucher to the value of €150. To enter log your bus, train, cycle or walking journeys via the online survey; or post your challenge card back to Travel Smart Communities Team, County Hall, Tallaght, Dublin 24.
